Kozukata FES!

Self Introduction

 Hello,I'm Shota Yoshida. I was born in Akita city. I played baseball until junior high school.In my high schooldays, I spend a lot of time for planning and managing school events. I took the student's association's lead.And now,I'm a chair man of Kozukata festival in Iwate University. My hobie is playing video-games. I always play and practice fighting games. In these days, some games are called "e-sports"I want to popularize it.I sometimes entry SF4 tournaments.Up till now, I can't win stability.However,I'd like to get chance to interact a lot of player.

My Development Goals

My ultimate goal is developping my teaching skillsin this class.So I have to make effort to do some activity.
1 listening to every classmate's opinion.
2 read a lot of books(novel,essey,newspapaer …)
3 try everything that I'm interested in. .
In this semester, I tried to watch English movie and streaming. I use Internet for search and watching these media. I tried to watch them every day. I can't feel difference between now and past.However I think this listening practice will make my hearing skill better. In ETM2 class, I was always pointed out that my speaking is too fast. I have to practice speaking politely,and clearly. This is because,my speaking can make some misunderstanding. For getting over my bad habit,I think I have to speak politely and consciously.I have speak in listener's place.

My Teaching Philosophy

I think the most important thing of English is "telling".However, to tell,we have to know basic. We have to take the fundamentals of English. I think this is essential for studying. Memory correctly and no mistakes.We don't skip something easy to learn. However, it is boring for students.We have to keep students coriosity. We have to make English class fun. I think I have to be compatible with strict and pleasure of English. I have to search new way of teaching every time.
I experienced a lot of activity like teaching practice in Nakano ES,and discussing and preparing for the practice.And look back the refection by students for our teaching. As a result, indeed studying correctly is important,but it's not a most important thing.I think the most important thing is "to be fun". It is difficult and boring activity for students to study some unknown language. And most student feel reluctant to study new things. So, I think my duty is make a relaxation for student of tension of the study. And I want to keep student feeling interest in English a long period.I'll try making English study "fun".
Having fun is very important when we study and teach English. However we have to divide enjoying  and  concentrating. When we explain something in class, we must make students to listen to us carefully. If we can't make them to pay attention to us, the class will collapse. I think making good atmosphere is important for teaching .

My Development in 2014 - 2016

From ETM1 Nakano1
1.Orientation At first, I attended the meeting at Nakano Elementary school. I heard some attention for this practice teaching. And i told it for my teammates. I prepared for this practice teaching.My duty is introduce new words for the students. I think I have to speak loudly ,clearly and confidently. So, I checked 5 times how to read them.  
  2.Complication We expected that students show interest in our work,but they didn't work vitality from the beginning of class. However, they worked vitality in the middle of the class.  
  3.Results We prepared a game . This game made students fine . They enjoyed the game,and they got motivation for the class. However some students got too exiting. It was hard to call their attention to the class. At first, their voices were not so finely,but finally,their voices ware very loudly and lively.

From ETM2 Nakano2
I went to Nakano ES again.I was in charge of 5-4. I took charge of this class in ETM1. I did some activities. For instance, sing songs with action and 3 hints card game. Most students got interested in our class. Before this class,I was worry that students don't understand our explanation about game. However they listtened our explanation carefully, they could do all activities. Comparing first teaching practice, students remember some new words and phrases. But, some students bored with studying English. I think I have to do new activity to make students motivated. Next teaching practice, I want to do something new activity.
From ETM3/plus Fuzoku JHS
This is the first time that I teach in JHS. I thought there are many different points between elementary school students and junior high school students. It is not misunderstanding. However there are some points I can cash in on my ETM 1・2 experience . At first, students are used to study English, and they has a basic of studying. So we can teach new words more smoothly  than I expected. When I explain about activity, students couldn't understand clearly. This is because my explanation was too long to understand whole meaning. I had to explain with short and clear words. Student's apprehensive looks make me uneasy. An uneasy feeling turn my voice down. This is very bad spiral. We have to teach with "clear" and "loud" voice.  The class will not stand if either of them is missing.
